Start with the questions that matter
Which cruise line fits you?
Luxury or mainstream, quiet or lively, casual or formal—the best choice depends on how you actually want to spend your days.
Which cabin is worth it?
Location, motion, noise, space, and balcony use often matter more than the category name printed in a brochure.
What should you prepare?

European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS)
ETIAS is the European Union’s upcoming travel authorisation for eligible visa-exempt visitors to participating European countries. It is not accepting applications yet and is expected to begin in the last quarter of 2026. Check the official EU website for the launch date, eligibility, participating countries, and application guidance.
Important: Use the official europa.eu website. No action is required from travelers until the EU announces that ETIAS is operational.
United Kingdom Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
Many visitors—including travelers from the United States—usually need a UK ETA instead of a visa for short visits. Eligibility depends on nationality and the reason for travel. An ETA can cover tourism, visiting family, and certain other stays of up to six months.
Use only GOV.UK or the official UK ETA app. Third-party websites may charge more and cannot provide a faster decision.
Speeding Up Airport Security and Reentry
Frequent travelers may benefit from a U.S. Trusted Traveler Program. TSA PreCheck can make security screening easier at participating airports, while Global Entry expedites entry into the United States for approved, low-risk travelers and includes TSA PreCheck eligibility. The official comparison also explains NEXUS and SENTRI.
Program eligibility, fees, processing times, and enrollment requirements can change. Review the official government information before applying.
